Yvo Jacquier:  Continuity/Discontinuity WITH THE EYES.

Before writing and arithmetic, the Ancients practiced geometry on a grid. The ratio between two integers of this grid defines the set of rationals. Ancients could not believe that a slope, whatever it may be, can not end up encountering (at least) one node of the grid. Unfortunately the Greeks discovered that some slope escape (diagonal of a square). In their surprise the problem of incommensurability meets that of discontinuity.
